“Adventus worked with Moto on strategic analysis and recommendations following the purchase of the business by a consortium led by Macquarie Group. The project required in depth analysis of current trends as well as analysis of sales and product data. The output from the project has been a strategic plan that developed with the management team that has been agreed with the new owners of the business. The plan covers all of the main revenues generating areas of the business and links through to the main financial objectives of the consortium.
Adventus demonstrated both a willingness to work with the management team in order to develop current thinking, but also to provide challenge to management where opportunities were under exploited. The project was effectively managed and delivered a successful result in terms of an innovative, credible and financially robust plan that was delivered on time and to budget with full sign off from management and shareholders. The project delivered all of the initial objectives agreed with the Adventus team.”

Anne Macartney, through Adventus Retail Solutions, worked for easyJet Airline Company Limited for the period November 2004 to December 2005 to set the retail strategy for in-flight and lead the change programme to deliver more profit. During this period in-flight retail revenues increased by over 30% and in-flight retail profits increased by 90% - there is no doubt whatsoever a large degree of the credit should be given to Anne who made a very positive contribution to easyJet.
This was delivered in many ways including:
- Sharing her learnings from her highly relevant previous retail experience;
- Sharing her network of contacts help us understand the feasibility of certain strategic plans;
- Never being afraid to get her hands dirty and get right into the operation;
- Working closely with our staff across our European network and converting all teams to a positive way of thinking
- Coaching and training our in-flight Retail team;
- Professionally representing easyJet to third parties;
- Helping us to work with our third party partners through improved understanding;
- Solving issues ranging from simple stock outs to designing a new cabin crew incentive scheme;
- Contributing to our strategic thinking.
Anne has helped to lay the foundation for even better performance for easyJet’s in-flight retail business.
